AD 1.2   RESCUE AND FIRE FIGHTING SERVICES AND SNOW PLAN

1.RESCUE AND FIRE FIGHTING SERVICES
At aerodromes approved for scheduled and/or nonscheduled traffic with airplanes carrying passengers, Rescue and Fire Fighting Services are established in accordance with the regulations for civil aviation.
Scheduled or nonscheduled traffic with airplanes carrying passengers is not allowed to use aerodromes without Rescue and Fire Fighting Services
Adequate Rescue and Fire Fighting vehicles, equipment and personnel are available for use by international commercial air transport. The scale of protection has been determined in accordance with the guidance material of Attachment A to ICAO Annex 14 and is indicated in terms of aerodrome in AD 2. Also indicated is the number of trained personnel available.
The Rescue and Fire Fighting unit is integrated and now under Gambia Civil Aviation Authority. Full service on a H24 basis is normally provided at Banjul International Airport only.

3.DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION ON RUNWAY AFFECTED BY STANDING WATER
If a RUNWAY is affected by standing water at any time during the approach of an aircraft for landing, ATC will transmit the depth and location to the aircraft. If the duration of the phenomena is likely to persist and the information requires a wider distribution a SNOWTAM will be issued.
